The image was there but now not troubleshooting problem with seeing background image in blender 2 7. Not sure if the background image in blender is meant to show in the final render. Last time i appear to have been pushing random buttons while sleep deprived, but a bit more i've setup (most of) the unwrapping, generated a colour image, but can't get the rendering to show. Adding a background image in blender 2.8+ is gone, at least the way it worked in previous versions as a component of view ยป properties.
